The beta

What changed since you last looked?

One page of notes for the whole beta — the iPhone build and the web app. Updates install themselves quietly, so this page is the record of what changed. And if something isn’t working, tell us below.

Your progress now follows your sign-in

8 August 2026 · Web

What you do in the web app is now saved to your sign-in, not just your browser. Open app.exercisebites.fit on a new phone, sign in with the same email, and your record comes back. Everything still works offline — the saving happens quietly whenever you're online.

Holds fixed on Android

8 August 2026 · Web

Press-and-hold works properly on Android phones again (Chrome was cutting one-finger holds short).

The beta opens

8 August 2026

The first door is open. iPhone testers arrive through TestFlight; on Android — or any browser — the app runs at app.exercisebites.fit. Sign in with your email, add it to your home screen, and it works offline.

What's inside, and what to try:

  • A full bite, start to finish. Two minutes of guided sets with sound and vibration cues. Try it with the phone face-down (the cues should keep working), end a set early with "Finish set", skip a rest with "Continue".
  • The ending. When a bite is done, hold the card until it burns. If that moment feels off — too long, too short, unclear that you should hold — that's exactly the feedback we want.
  • The arrival. Every cold open starts as a glide through a night sky. When it invites you to hold the light, hold it.
  • Week one's question. Somewhere in your first week, mid-flight, the app deals you a question as a hand of cards. Pick honestly — your pick changes how the app speaks to you from then on.
  • Offline. Add the app to your home screen, then turn the internet off: everything should keep working, mid-bite included. If anything hangs or breaks offline, report it — offline is the one promise we never break.
  • On the web: your record follows your email. Sign in on a second phone or browser with the same email and your history should be there.

Known rough edges, so you don't have to report them: on a desktop browser the app stretches to the window — it's built for a phone in your hand, and a proper desktop layout is still ahead. And the story past its first act sits behind the membership, which isn't purchasable on the web yet — that door is closed for now, not broken.

Updates arrive on their own — the web app refreshes itself the next time you open it online, and new iPhone builds come through TestFlight. Every change worth knowing about gets an entry on this page.
